International Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line

NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) was founded in 1966. Originally named as Norwegian Caribbean Line, it was owned by Kloster Cruises before 90's of the last century, and was the sister company of Royal Viking Line and Royal Cruise Line. Star Cruises bought NCL in 2000. Orient Lines and NCL America are two subsidiaries founded by NCL, but the former ceased service in 2008.

NCL is well-known for its freestyle cruising concept. The ships are suitable for first-time passengers and young travellers who desire plenty of facilities and entertainment in the cruise. Furthermore, by replacing the small, old ships with the newer ones, NCL's fleet is one of the youngest among the industry. Sailing regions of NCL include the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Alaska, Canada and New England, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Mexican Riviera, the Panama Canal, South America and Hawaii.
