Diamond Princess is one of the Grand Class ships in Princess Cruises and her sister is Sapphire Princess. They are the first two ships to be constructed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan, instead of by Fincantieri in Italy. Despite similar size and internal layout, they have some unique features which cannot be found on other Grand Class half-sisters. Being a ship over 100000 tons, Diamond Princess is well-equipped with all kinds of facilities. There is a diverse range of dining choices, including five main restaurants, two alternative dining rooms, a buffet restaurant, as well as poolside grill and pizzeria. Other amenities onboard include a number of bars and lounges, three major performing venues, five swimming pools, a spacious gymnasium and spa, various sports facilities, library and writing room, Internet centre, youth centre, art gallery, photo gallery, casino, wedding chapel and an array of boutiques. Nevertheless, an intimate environment is created by the well-organized public rooms, high guest space ratio, gentle colours and an extensive collection of artworks. The interior design and furnishings of Diamond Princess are among one of the best in Princess Cruises. Passengers can enjoy good quality of service, cuisine, accommodation, onboard activities and entertainment. |
